“The Passion of the Christ“, a movie by Mel Gibson, does a great job of depicting the torture our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ endured. If you haven’t watched the movie, I highly recommend it and make sure you grab a box of Kleenex.
Jesus endured unimaginable pain, to the point that His skin was cut and you could see the bones in His back. He went through excruciating pain, as they nailed Him to the cross. I am a mother and love my children very much and with every scratch or fall, I feel their pain and I am quick to help them clean their wound and to give them a band aid, a hug and a kiss. For God to give us His only Son, I still cannot fathom how much God loves us. As a mother, I also cannot imagine the pain St. Mary (Kedest Mariam) felt as she watched her beloved son suffer on the cross.
God’s love is truly immeasurable, incomprehensible and incomparable! No one will ever love you as much as God loves you. When the world makes you feel you are not loved or valued, you remember the suffering of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and let the devil know that you are loved so much by our Heavenly Father.
There’s no greater love than Jesus!
