My beautiful Tewahedo Orthodox sister, we live in a fast-paced world where almost everything is at our fingertips, from food to clothes, cars, and so much more. It’s easy to feel like everything should happen instantly, including the answers to our prayers. But here’s the truth: God does not work on a our deadline! His timing is not like ours.
Sometimes we may feel anxious or impatient when prayers seem unanswered. Yet, God’s timing is always perfect. Even if there is a delay, His answer will always come exactly when it should, never too early, never too late. Trusting God means believing that He is working behind the scenes, weaving your life’s story with wisdom, love, and purpose that we may not fully understand.
Here’s a little story that brings a smile while reminding us about God’s timing:
A man walked to the top of a hill to talk to God.
He asked, “God, what’s a million years to You?”
God answered, “A minute.”
The man then asked, “Well, what’s a million dollars to You?”
God said, “A penny.”
Finally, the man asked, “God…can I have a penny?”
God replied with a gentle smile, “Sure…in a minute.”
This story reminds us that God’s ways and His timing are far beyond what we can imagine. As women of faith, we can take comfort knowing that He sees the beginning and the end of our lives. He knows what we need, when we need it, and how it will be beautiful in its time.
So keep praying, keep trusting, and keep believing. Our God is faithful, and His timing is always perfect.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
