By Grace, Not Just Qualification

My beautiful Tewahedo Orthodox sister, remember this: the same qualifications that earned you your job are the same qualifications someone else has, yet they remain unemployed. The same road you travel on safely each day is the same road that has claimed many lives. Every breath, every blessing, and every open door is a gift from God. So walk humbly, give thanks continually, and never forget that His grace not our strength sustains us.

This reminds us that success, safety, and every breath we take are not by our power, intelligence, or effort but by the mercy and grace of God. You are where you are today not because you are better than others, but because “the Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy” (Psalm 145:8).

Never boast in your blessings, but use them to bless others. Because the same table that lifts us today can turn tomorrow, and only God’s grace keeps it steady.

Let your heart whisper in gratitude:

“But by the grace of God I am what I am” (1 Corinthians 15:10).

My beautiful sister, always stay humble, stay grateful, and let God’s grace continue to carry you higher, not through pride, but through praise.
