From Tears to Joy

My beautiful Tewahedo sister, never underestimate the power of your tears, your struggles, or your silent battles.

Hannah’s tears did not end in despair. Those very tears watered the birth of Samuel. A prophet who changed the destiny of a nation. What felt like years of emptiness became the very soil God used to raise a mighty servant.

Saint Paul’s thorn was not taken away. Instead, it kept him humble, dependent on Christ, and from that place of weakness flowed revelations so deep that the Church still feeds on them today. What seemed like limitation became a fountain of wisdom.

Esther stood before a risk that could have cost her life. Yet her courage and obedience brought salvation to her people. She discovered that the weight she carried was not to crush her, but to lift an entire nation.

Every true calling comes with a season of crushing. Before the sweet fragrance of the incense rises, the frankincense must first be ground. Before the oil flows, the olive must be pressed.

Yet in Christ, nothing is ever wasted. Every tear, every disappointment, every heartbreak becomes part of the holy process that purifies your soul. Out of your wounds flows healing, out of your trials comes strength, and out of your tears God raises testimonies that shine His glory. So, when life feels heavy and the road seems long, remember you are being refined, not destroyed.

So, hold on to faith, my beautiful sister, and keep going even in the difficult times. For our amazing God, the One who turned Hannah’s tears into joy, Paul’s thorn into wisdom, and Esther’s risk into victory, will also use your story for His glory. He has never failed those who trust in Him, and He will not start with you.

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” —Psalm 126:5, NKJV
