It’s truly sad that there are some people — who don’t make it to the finish line.
Some let pride in, thinking they were above God.
Some gave in to lust, believing they could indulge and still walk holy.
Some clung to position, loving the spotlight more than the presence of God.
And some simply grew tired of denying themselves.
The cross felt too heavy. The sacrifice too great.
And slowly… they drifted.
At first, it was subtle. Small compromises.
A little less prayer. A little less repentance.
A little more self. A little more sin.
Until one day, they looked up— and the cross was no longer near, but distant.
Unreachable.
And the enemy had surrounded them.
This is not just a symbol; it’s a warning. I have seen it in real life. So many who started with fire in their heart, with great conviction, with tears before the altar— but who did not finish well.
Not because God changed, but because they did.
My beautiful Tewahedo Orthodox sister, listen.
The world will try to distract you.
Your flesh will beg for comfort.
Even the enemy will whisper, “It’s ok, just take it easy.”
But our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ never called us to an easy road.
He said, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” (Mark 8:34).
My beautiful sister, take up your cross daily.
Deny yourself and stay the course — no matter the cost.
Not just once. Not just when it’s convenient.
But Daily — Every single day!
Don’t chase platforms.
Don’t chase titles or applause.
Don’t measure your worth by how many people praise you.
Chase the King.
Fix your eyes on Him.
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).
It won’t always be easy.
The road of the cross never is. But it is worth it.
So keep going.
When it gets hard—keep going.
When the sacrifice feels too great—keep going.
When the world mocks you—keep going.
When the enemy tempts you—keep going.
When your own heart grows weary—keep going.
No matter how many times you fall, get back up again — keep going.
It’s never too late until you take your last breath—so keep going.
Our Lord and Savior is worth it.
Every prayer, every tear, every battle, every sacrifice—He is worth it.
And in the end, when you stand before Him, when you hear “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21), you will know…
It was all worth it.
Finish well, my sister. The crown is waiting. Our Lord is waiting.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
