Being a Christian is like being a Pumpkin

As pumpkins,  pumpkin spice and flavors start to emerge everywhere, it always reminds me of the Christian being like a pumpkin analogy.  It’s also the perfect season to share this with you all. Enjoy!

A lady asked her co-worker what it was like to be a Christian?

The lady replied, “It’s like being a pumpkin: God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off you may have gotten from the other pumpkins. Then he cuts the top off and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc., then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.”

When Christ dwells in us, we shine through to the people around us and we can reflect His light to glorify our Father in heaven. Therefore, always remember to let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.  Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
