My beautiful Tewahedo Orthodox sister, you were never created to blend into the world, and you should never feel pressured to shrink who you are to fit in. God set you apart with divine purpose and unfailing love. Your faith, obedience, quiet strength, and devotion to God make you beautifully different.
Wherever you go, whether school, work, friendships, or new spaces, you may sometimes feel out of place. Not because something is wrong with you, but because you belong to God. You fast when others feast. You pray when others choose not to. You open the Holy Bible when others seek noise. You choose modesty when the world celebrates exposure. Your words carry honor, your choices reflect obedience, and your heart longs for holiness. Of course you feel different. You are living a godly life in a world that often chooses otherwise.
Do not let that difference make you feel lonely or small. God delights in your obedience and is pleased each time you choose Him, even when it costs you comfort or approval. You are not strange, and you are not missing out. You are walking the narrow path that leads to life. When the world makes you feel like you do not belong, remember this truth. You were never meant to belong there.
You belong to Christ, and that alone sets you apart. Your worth is never measured by popularity, trends, or applause. Your worth is rooted in the truth that you are a daughter of the King of kings, grounded in our ancient Tewahedo Orthodox faith, clothed in humility, and guided by the Holy Spirit each day.
So walk with confidence, your head held high, knowing who God has created you to be. You are a beloved daughter of the Most High, called to lead, to stand firm, and to shine without compromise. What God has placed within you is rare, holy, and powerful.
So stay faithful. Stay beautifully different, my sister. The world may not understand you, but God does. He sees you, loves you, and has chosen you to shine. Remain steadfast in our beautiful Tewahedo Orthodox faith, for it is your anchor in the storm, your strength in weakness, and your guiding light through every season of life.
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”
