My beautiful Tewahedo Orthodox sister, there is a kind of peace this world cannot offer a deep, quiet, soul-satisfying peace. And there is a joy that doesn’t fade, even in the hardest seasons. That peace and that joy are found only in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
There is a woman in the Bible who understood this truth more than most (Luke 8:43–48). For twelve long years she suffered — broken, bleeding, forgotten by society — yet she believed that if she could only touch the hem of His garment, she would be healed. In the midst of the crowd, she reached out in trembling faith… and instantly, power flowed from Christ. He turned and gently asked, “Who touched Me?” Not because He didn’t know, but because He wanted the world to see what happens when a desperate soul reaches out to Him in faith. She touched just His garment, and He made her whole.
My beautiful sister, when this world wounds you, when you are weary and weak, do what she did — reach out to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because only He can make you whole.
With God, I’ve learned that I don’t have to carry life alone. When my heart is overwhelmed, He becomes my rest. When I feel lost, He shows me the way. When I’m hurting, His love wraps around me like no one else ever could.
Truly, there is no one like Him.
The world will tempt us with things that vanish — attention, status, money, and fleeting love. But none of it can satisfy the soul. Our Lord offers what is eternal: life, healing, grace, mercy, and an unshakable hope.
As a Tewahedo Orthodox Christian, I’ve found true beauty in walking with God daily… In the quiet strength of fasting, in the grace of repentance, in the power of prayer, and in the life-giving mystery of the Holy Communion.
Life may not always be easy, but when it’s lived with Christ, it becomes sacred and meaningful. Every tear, every trial, every joy — it all finds purpose in Him.
So no matter the storms, no matter how the world may shift and change — choose our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because life may be hard, but life with Him is worth more than silver and gold.
And this, my beautiful sister: don’t chase what fades. Chase what lasts. Stay close to Christ. Guard your heart with prayer, even when it feels heavy. And never forget to run to our blessed holy Mother, St. Mary, asking her to intercede for you before her beloved Son.
And always live a life that honors God. No fame, no money, no title, no degree, no gold, no material thing will follow us when we leave this earth. Only what we have done for God in love, in obedience, in faithfulness will matter in the end. As our Lord and Savior teaches us:
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19–21)
Therefore, seek not the praise of men, but the approval of God. Labour not for treasures that fade, but for the crown that lasts forever. Live each day remembering that this life is a journey, and our true home is eternal.
So choose wisely, my beautiful sister. Choose eternity. Choose God. And never forget — life is always better with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26)
